The southern tribes of the south west of Western Australia are proud to present a showcase of traditional dance, music and story from the First Australians of this beautiful region. This land bordered by the Indian Ocean and the Southern Ocean traversed by big rivers and adorned by the huge Karri and Jarrah trees. This is the land of the 14 tribes called the Noongar Nations. Boodjar Weern means Spirit of the Land and the men and women from this production are eager to share their culture with the people in China. The audience will witness a journey into the ancient culture of Australia with graceful women dance moves and the energetic pulse of the men’s dances all executed in colourful tribal regalia, enchanting singing and powerful Didjeridoo music played by one of Australia’s best exponents of the instrument, ‘Gumbiardi.’
